[community profile] dimension76 OOC Rules

Really, most of our rules fall under the basic umbrella of The Big One:

No. Drama. Allowed.

D1. Respect players' RP speeds and character interaction preferences.

D2. Post content warnings for basic triggers. If a player informs you that a situation bothers them, please respect it.

D3. It should go without saying, but IC does not equal OOC. Characters' opinions are not those of their players. We expect players to handle this rule in a mature and sensible fashion.

D4. No OOC racism, sexism, religious persecution, bigotry, etc. We understand that CHARACTERS may act in offensive manners. We also trust that everyone here is adult enough to understand that the character is not the player, and to avoid interacting with that character if it really bothers them that much.

D5. If you have a problem with a player, take it up with them privately via PM or private Plurk. Players are expected to resolve their issues outside of the community. If you do not feel comfortable talking directly to a player, you may privately contact a mod to act as a go-between. Discussing these issues publicly is a form of drama creation, and will be counted as grounds for a strike.

D6. If you have a problem with the way a situation was handled in-game, please take it up privately with the mods. Explain your issue concretely and concisely: don't be vague. We are happy to listen, and will take an objective view of the situation, but will not tolerate rudeness or insulting behavior. If such situations are brought up publicly, this is grounds for a strike.

D7. We are all here, in one way or another, for our own reasons, to get away from traditional game structure or drama tendencies, and enjoy ourselves. Any attempt to bring previous game drama into Dimension 76 will be curbed. The mods have zero tolerance for gossip and/or shit-stirring, wank, whatever you want to call it. We give second chances. We communicate. We play nice. If these things don't happen, we remove players. It's that simple.

D8. In the same vein, no player is under any obligation to tag or interact with every player, so if someone is invited that you don't wish to interact with? Simply don't. If you happen to find that someone doesn't want to interact with you? Let them have that choice. There are plenty of us here, and we are all here to enjoy ourselves.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, there are only a few other rules:

R1. No godmoding of the setting or other people's characters.

R2. In the event of large casts from a single canon (i.e. Harry Potter, MCU, etc), castmates should not be given biased CR. If a large cast is found to only/mostly interacting with one another, members will be gently encouraged to tag out to others. The atmosphere here is meant to be inclusive.

R3. Characters with ridiculous levels of power which have the ability to affect the entire game or any part of the physical setting for any reason (IE, Thanos with a full Infinity Gauntlet) are expected to use them respectfully, and submit any changes they'd like to affect as an Event through the Suggestion Box.

R4. Three strikes and you're out. This mostly applies to The Big One.

R5. The game can only have Seven Duplicated Characters At Any Given Time.

R6. AUs and OCs are allowed, as long as there is a post somewhere in the character's journal explaining their personality (and the AU, if applicable) to other players.

Rules are subject to modification or addition at any point. Any changes WILL be publicly posted for discussion in the OOC community.
