Why Is This Game Invite-Only?

Dimension 76 was envisioned as a stress-free zone where players can have all the fun of a panfandom game without having to worry about player drama. The mods want to make sure that everyone can get along. This game was not created with negative intent by any means: if you like the vibe we're putting down, PM any player or mod, and we'll talk!

So What IS The Vibe You're Putting Down?

Most of the players here are older (mid-20s and up), with full-time committments and their own IRL stresses. For them, DWRP is a means of escape and relaxation. There's no pressure to boomerang, or be present for events, unless that is the sort of thing You Personally Want To Do. The mods want D76 to be like your favorite console or app game, or a tabletop RP without all those nasty scheduling conflicts. Pick it up when you feel the itch for a character, play them as long as you like, have fun, and swap out or bow out guilt-free.

Guilt Free? What about Activity Checks?
There is no AC Requirement for Dimension 76.

How Do I Get Invited? Are There Apps?
As mentioned above, if you're interested, PM the mods or an existing player. Someone who is already in the game must vouch for you as a player - there's a field for it in the application. We ask that you have a brief character profile somewhere on their journal - or, if you've already played them in another game, a previous app somewhere is fine. We're really pretty laid back about it as long as you have someone who can speak to your attitudes as a player.

Once I'm Invited, How Do I Join?
Fill out the appropriate forms on the Suggestion Box page: New Player & New Character! The mods will add both journals, and once you accept the invitations, you're good to go! We only ask that players introduce themselves and/or their characters on the OOC Comm so that everyone can say hi and prove that we don't bite.

Are OCs/AUs/CRAU Allowed?
Yes! We only ask that you make sure there is a detailed post somewhere in the character's journal explaining their personality and any applicable AU differences for other players' reference.

Are Multiple Versions Allowed?
Because of the nature of Dimension 76, there can absolutely be two players claiming the same character at once! Each player gets assigned a Dimension Tag when they join. Example: if Ang's Dimension Tag is AD82, and LJ's Dimension Tag is LJ13 ... there could be an MCU Loki Laufeyson from Dimension AD82, and an MCU Loki Laufeyson from Dimension LJ13. The difference would be delineated on the Player/Taken page. We clearly don't want this to go overboard, so the game can only have seven duplicated characters at any given time.

I Recognize That Portal In The Logo. Is This A Rick & Morty Game?

The premise is based out of Rick & Morty, and Rick is a mod PC - but the setting itself is pretty generic! You don't have to interact with or play aspects of that canon if you don't care for it ... or, hey, if you love R&M, have fun with it! You do you.

I like events! Do you have events?

Unlike some games, D76 does not have scheduled regular events at this time, but we will have the occasional plot or event when time permits! Players are also welcome to submit their own events and/or plots in the Suggestion Box, and the mods will reach out and help them make it happen.

I'm more of a Slice of Life/Action/Meme person...

Whatever your RP style is, the goal of D76 was to make things malleable enough that you can do it here! A meme is a perfectly viable community post. (Any content warnings will, of course, apply, even in a closed community like this one.)
